Best known as the guitarist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Frusciante’s had an active and successful solo career too, releasing eleven albums under his own name. His major influences were Hendrix and another RHCP guitarist Hillel Slovak, but he’s also been inspired by glam rock and avant-garde artists such as David Bowie, T-Rex and Frank Zappa, and lately by the electronic music of Depeche Mode and New Order, to create a constantly evolving style.
